Hi there!
Nice to meet you, I’m Emily.

I’m a user interface designer based in Charlotte, North Carolina. My goal is to create accessible, helpful, and innovative digital products. I try my best to empathize with the user and understand their wants and needs. I’m a rule follower, making that great for following strict brand guidelines, but also creative, so I’m able to create custom experiences that solve real-world problems.

I thrive when working with a full product team and enjoy collaboration and brainstorming. I’m also comfortable leading and directing other designers. Pairing a visually beautiful and accessible design with an easy-to-follow user experience is my specialty!

When I’m not designing, you can find me snuggling with my pups 🐶, planning my next house project 🏠 , or reading a good thriller 📚.

What People Are Saying

“Emily is one of the most dedicated and capable people I have ever had the pleasure to work with. She is an incredibly thoughtful and effective designer, is obsessed with process and quality, and has a tremendous ability far and beyond her current responsibilities.

Emily has been the key driving force behind the development and implementation of a new Design System at Novant Health, taking action to bring a cohesive visual strategy to digital products and working with Product Owners and stakeholders to create a seamless brand experience. Additionally, she has been instrumental in building out new processes for UI design that will have a lasting impact on quality and efficiency, leading to better design and, ultimately, user experience across a wide portfolio of digital products.”

— Kate Hitchcock, UI/UX Designer

“I had the pleasure of working with Emily on several projects over the course of 4 years. "Dedicated" is what comes to mind when I think about Emily. No matter what idea was brought to our team, I was always impressed at how she would go above and beyond to meet the needs of the client, but also keep the consumer experience a focal point. She brought fresh ideas and a keen eye for detail to every project. With every design she created, you could have the Emily guarantee that it would be well thought out from multiple perspectives, from brand compliance to UX design. Emily's work perfectly exemplifies her integrity; she doesn't present anything she isn't proud of.

Emily is also just a joy to work with. She made sure that everyone felt welcome on our team, from organizing celebrations and get-togethers, to bringing snacks to team meetings. She led our fun and wellness committee as well as championing our volunteering efforts. Emily would become a valuable asset to any team!”

— Ashley Pavic, Digital Strategist

“Any team is stronger when Emily is a part of it. She needs only the requirements to get design work off the ground; she quickly grasps the objectives and establishes processes to support collaboration. She always meets deadlines, and her sophisticated, commanding designs elevate the brand. I made it a point to meet with Emily at the beginning of our projects. She has wonderful ideas for organizing production processes. Also, in five years of collaboration, she was unwaveringly kind, generous and capable. She does more than her role requires, and she helps others meet their deadlines by pitching in and initiating much-needed communication. Emily is the team member that everyone is drawn to.”
